Walking Tour of Old Québec, World Heritage Site
The tour will visit the Dufferin Terrace, a magnificent boardwalk overlooking the St. Lawrence River. Another stop is the Seminary of Québec, founded in 1663. Now occupied by the Architecture School of Laval University, this institution is a remarkable collection of buildings erected around enclosed courtyards.
The tour will also visit the magnificent interior of the Notre-Dame-de-Québec Basilica in the Lower Town. You will see Place Royale, where the Québec Government has restored the houses of merchant families from the New France era. A ride in the Funicular will bring you back to the upper part of the city. You will see the St-Lawrence River’s panorama and appreciate a spectacular view of the lower town at from a 45-degree angle.
